Following torrential rains on the night of October 26th, a loud explosion erupted from a hill in Khanh Binh village (Que Phuoc commune), causing a sudden landslide that completely buried the house and many belongings of Mr. Le Van Lanh's family. Fortunately, having anticipated the risk of landslides, Mr. Lanh managed to evacuate his elderly mother and relatives before the incident occurred.

In the midst of the hardships following the natural disaster, Mr. Lanh's family and other affected households received timely support from the local authorities and the city government. Besides financial assistance, Mr. Lanh was helped by local authorities and the city police to rebuild his house as part of the "Quang Trung Campaign" launched by the Prime Minister .

On December 14th, at the site of Mr. Lanh's collapsed house, forces cleared debris and prepared the ground for the construction of a new house. Under the year-end rain, forces from the Central Mobile Police Regiment, Da Nang City Police, Que Phuoc Commune Police, and other local units worked diligently on the construction.

Mr. Lanh shared: “The remediation work was carried out quickly. The ground around the house has been leveled, and the landslide area has been reinforced with sturdy embankments. We received financial support from the government to rebuild our new house and stabilize our lives as soon as possible.”

According to Ms. Tao Thi To Diem, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Que Phuoc commune, after the recent natural disaster, four houses in the commune collapsed; many households are at high risk of landslides; and transportation infrastructure and schools were damaged. The total estimated damage amounts to tens of billions of VND.

In response to this situation, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune directed local departments and the people's committees of the villages to urgently implement measures to remedy the consequences so that people could quickly stabilize their lives. "The units and forces worked together, contributing their efforts, transporting each brick, and repairing each corrugated iron roof so that warmth could soon return to each home of the people," Ms. Diem said.

Similarly, in other communes such as Avuong, Vu Gia, Thuong Duc, and Nam Tra My, the police and local authorities proactively implemented comprehensive solutions, maximizing local resources to quickly complete the construction and repair of houses for people affected by natural disasters.

As the unit tasked by the Ministry of Public Security , the City Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Da Nang City with the leading and core role in the simultaneous implementation of the "Quang Trung Campaign" throughout the city, the city's police force is striving to fulfill this major mission under tight deadlines and very high demands.

The Da Nang City Police and local forces are rapidly assisting in the construction and repair of 271 houses in 22 communes and wards; of which 213 severely damaged houses must be completed before December 31, 2025, and 58 houses that completely collapsed must be completed before January 31, 2026.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hoang, Deputy Director of the City Police, said that the officers put the people first, treating each house as if it were their own. The entire force took advantage of every sunny hour, working in a continuous manner, determined to complete the houses ahead of schedule.

With the spirit of "no waiting - no delay - doing it right the first time," the local authorities and forces swiftly deployed the "Quang Trung Campaign," racing against time and overcoming the harsh weather conditions at the end of the year so that people could celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 in warm and safe homes.

"

The police force worked tirelessly day and night, until the last house was completed, with the spirit of "no waiting - no delay - ensuring everything is done properly."
