The entire Ly Son special zone currently has more than 300 hectares of purple onions, of which about 80% has been harvested. The local government has directed relevant agencies to guide people to speed up the harvesting of the remaining area, while reinforcing houses and warehouses for agricultural products. Militia forces have been mobilized to support people in harvesting onions to avoid the storm.

Mr. Phan Dinh Muoi (An Vinh village) has nearly 3 sao of onions and said that although the onions are still young and not yet ready for harvest, he still had to cut them early: "I know the yield will decrease, but if the storm sweeps through, I will lose everything. Now I just hope to collect them in time and dry as much as possible to keep the capital."

According to the Quang Ngai Province Irrigation Department, as of 4 p.m. on October 21, the water level on rivers in the province was fluctuating below alert level 1. The Thach Nham spillway (Quang Ngai - Son Ha route) was still flooded about 0.03m, and authorities were organizing blockades and traffic guidance.

In Ba Vinh commune, local authorities also urgently evacuated 61 households with 216 people living at the foot of Go Oat mountain (Ba Lang village) to a safe place after discovering a large crack that could cause a landslide.
