The Ministry of Education and Training plans to amend regulations on extra teaching and learning.

QNgTV- The Ministry of Education and Training proposed to adjust Circular 29 to be more flexible in terms of extra-curricular teaching time in schools and to increase management of extra-curricular teaching activities outside of schools.

The Ministry of Education and Training has just sent a draft amendment to Circular 29/2024 on extra teaching and learning to the Departments of Education and Training for comments.

Accordingly, the draft allows flexibility in the duration of extra classes in schools. Principals can propose to increase hours for some students based on facilities, teaching staff and the second session plan, but must ensure that no fees are collected and student interests are prioritized.

The Ministry of Education and Training emphasized that the core spirit remains the same: not increasing learning pressure, improving the quality of formal school hours and creating conditions for comprehensive development for students.

The final decision rests with the Director of the Department of Education and Training.
