The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said the center of the tropical depression is currently over the western coastal area of the central Philippines. Moving in a West-Southwest direction at a speed of about 15km/h. Winds near the center of the tropical depression are strong at level 6, gusting to level 8.
It is forecasted that by 1am tomorrow, December 9, the tropical depression will continue to move in the West-Southwest direction at 15-20 km/h, located in the Southeast region of the central East Sea. The strongest wind near the center is level 6, gusting to level 8. Disaster risk warning level 3 for the Southeast sea area of the central East Sea (including the Northeast sea area of Truong Sa special zone).
At 1:00 a.m. on December 10, the center of the low pressure was about 200 km southwest of Song Tu Tay Island. The strongest wind near the center was level 6, gusting to level 8. Warning of level 3 natural disaster risk in the southern sea area between the East Sea and the northern sea area of the South East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone).
From the next 48 to 72 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move in the West Southwest direction, traveling 20-25km per hour, gradually weakening into a low pressure area.
