The title "Outstanding Young Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City" is selected annually by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City to honor typical young examples with many achievements and outstanding contributions to the overall development of the city.
In 2025, 12 candidates were introduced to vote for this title.
Specifically, with the group of typical researchers, there is a candidate: Dr. Mai Ngoc Xuan Dat, Institute of Advanced Materials Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University.
In the group of outstanding students, there is candidate: Vo Ngoc Minh Anh, Faculty of Information Technology, University of Science , Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Outstanding group of doctors and nurses, including candidate: Doctor CK1 Nròng K'Duy Py, Deputy Head of the Department of Special Care, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nhan Ai Hospital.
In the group of outstanding young entrepreneurs, there is a candidate: MSc. Tran Tai, Director of Vietnam Biological Mushroom Company Limited.
For the group of exemplary armed forces soldiers, there are 2 candidates: Captain Trinh Hai Thang, chemical examiner of the Criminal Techniques Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police and Major Nguyen Van Truong, officer of the Crime Prevention and Investigation Team in the field of illegal drug trafficking and transportation - Ho Chi Minh City Police (Team 3 - Department PC04).
In the group of outstanding Youth Union - Association - Team officials, there are 2 candidates: Mr. Do Tien Dat, Secretary of the Youth Union and specialist of the Cultural - Sports Service Supply Center of An Dong Ward; Ms. Doan Thi Thu Chung, Member of the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Permanent Deputy General Director of Sao Bac Dau Union and Deputy Director of Sao Bac Dau Bac Tao Dan.
The group of outstanding athletes has two candidates: Mr. Nguyen Tan Sang, Ho Chi Minh City Sports Training and Competition Center, National Pencak Silat team; Mr. Nguyen Tu Cuong, National Vovinam team, currently a teacher, athlete, and coach at Binh Chanh High School for Gifted Sports.
With the group of young people living beautifully, there is a candidate: Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Director and founder of Gen Zero Social Enterprise Company Limited.
In the group of outstanding artists, there is a candidate: singer Nguyen Thi Duyen Quynh.
