Proposal to build a resettlement area for people in the landslide area of ​​Tay Tra Bong mountain

On December 8, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province advised the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province to consider allocating about 22 billion VND to build a resettlement area to relocate people from Group 1 and Group 2, Tay village, Tay Tra Bong commune.

Prolonged heavy rains in recent times caused landslides, threatening 51 households, nearly 200 people in Group 1 and Group 2, Tay village, Tay Tra Bong commune, of which 2 houses completely collapsed.

According to the People's Committee of Tay Tra Bong commune, the locality is coordinating with relevant departments to survey and determine the land fund to build a resettlement area. While waiting for the resettlement area to be built, the locality continues to closely monitor the area, has plans to evacuate and protect the safety of people's lives in case of heavy rain.
