Fireworks display locations on New Year's Eve 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City

At the moment of transition between the old year and the new year of the New Year 2026, Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at 4 locations, including 3 high-altitude locations and 1 low-altitude location.

On December 8, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a Plan to organize activities to welcome the New Year 2026. In particular, the fireworks display will take place from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2026, creating a highlight for a series of art and cultural events throughout the city.

This year, the three high-altitude fireworks display locations include: the Saigon River Tunnel entrance area, An Khanh Ward; the New City Center Area, Binh Duong Ward and Tam Thang Square, Vung Tau Ward.

Tam Thang Tower, Vung Tau ward is one of the four fireworks display locations on New Year's Eve 2026.

In addition, the city arranged a low-altitude fireworks display at Dam Sen Cultural Park, Binh Thoi Ward. All funding for the event was mobilized through socialization to reduce the budget burden while still ensuring the scale and quality of the program.

In addition to the fireworks display, Ho Chi Minh City also organizes a series of large-scale cultural and artistic programs on the night of December 31, such as Countdown at Nguyen Hue walking street, performances in many communes and wards, music and light festivals, the "Khoi Waves of Dawn" event in Vung Tau ward with a run, yoga and art performances throughout the night; the Culinary Culture Festival program from December 27 to January 1, 2026.

Along with that, the city deployed artistic lighting decorations on many central streets, opened lighting systems at typical constructions to create a bustling, modern atmosphere to welcome the New Year.

The Ho Chi Minh City Police and the City Command will coordinate to ensure security, fire safety and traffic flow in crowded areas. The Department of Health will also arrange on-duty forces and ambulances at event venues, ready to handle any arising situations.

With elaborate preparations and many rich activities, Ho Chi Minh City hopes to bring residents and tourists a brilliant festival season, marking an exciting start to 2026.
