Vietnam's ST25 rice honored as the world's best rice for the third time

(GLO)- On November 9, in the capital Phnom Penh of Cambodia, Ong Cua ST25 rice of Labor Hero Ho Quang Cua was honored for the third time as the best rice in the world.

According to a VNA reporter in Phnom Penh, within the framework of the 7th Global Rice Trade Conference that just ended in Cambodia, Vietnam's ST25 rice won the " World's Best Rice" contest in 2025, along with Phka Romdoul rice from the host country.

The World's Best Rice 2025 competition is part of the 7th Global Rice Trade Conference organized by The Rice Trader, taking place from November 7 to 9 in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia.

Secretary General of the Cambodia Rice Federation - Mr. Lun Yeng - said: At the announcement ceremony of the results of the "World's Best Rice" contest in 2025 on November 9, two types of rice were honored with the first prize: Cambodia's Phka Romdoul rice with the brand name "Malis Angkor" and Vietnam's ST25 rice, surpassing more than 30 competing rice samples from many countries.

In 2023, at the 15th World's Best Rice Contest held in the Philippines, Labor Hero Ho Quang Cua's ST25 rice won first prize for the second time. Previously, in 2019, also in the Philippines, Vietnam's ST25 rice was honored for the first time as the world's best rice.

This is a great honor and pride for the Vietnamese rice industry. The fact that the ST25 rice brand continues to be honored for the third time also means the stability of the quality of Vietnamese rice.
