According to statistics, the whole province has 11,861 hectares of crops that have fallen and been flooded, including more than 11,812 hectares of annual crops.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi To Tran, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in order to quickly stabilize the situation and restore production, the People's Committees of communes and wards need to urgently guide farmers to harvest the ripe rice crop, mobilize human resources and machinery to quickly harvest and thresh, avoiding damage caused by prolonged flooding.
For vegetables and short-term crops, it is necessary to drain water promptly, clear weeds, prune damaged plants, combine fertilization, spray biological products to restore crops and prepare seeds for replanting when the weather is favorable.

For fruit trees and perennial industrial trees, farmers need to dig drainage ditches, re-establish leaning trees, prune damaged branches and leaves, add organic fertilizer, spray biological products to prevent root rot, gummosis, stem canker, etc. to restore growth.
The Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection needs to coordinate in inspecting, calculating damage, providing technical guidance and forecasting, and preventing pests and diseases arising after the storm. The Agricultural Extension Center sends specialized staff to the base, training, and supporting farmers in applying measures to restore production, especially in heavily affected areas.
“These synchronous solutions aim to help farmers stabilize production soon, ensuring a safe supply of food and vegetables for the market before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2026,” said Ms. Tran.
