Improve the effectiveness of coordination in protecting, caring for and educating children

(CT) - On November 7, the Can Tho City Social Work Center coordinated with Thoi Hoa Secondary School, O Mon Ward and Thot Not Secondary School, Thot Not Ward to organize a communication session on social work in schools.

Teachers, parents and staff discussed and exchanged information during the communication session at Thoi Hoa Secondary School.

Revolving around the theme “Strengthening the capacity to protect, care for and educate children in the community”, about 80 teachers, parents and local officials were updated with knowledge on the Law on Children and legal documents on children; skills to prevent and combat child abuse and injuries; how to approach, grasp and guide the process of handling information and intervening in cases of child abuse and children in special circumstances needing help. At the same time, support services were introduced, such as: National Child Protection Hotline 111, Consulting Hotline 18008065 at the City Social Work Center and community social work service providers...

According to the plan, in November 2025, the City Social Work Center will coordinate to organize communication on social work in schools at 6 secondary schools. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness, sense of responsibility and effectiveness of coordination between schools, families and society in protecting, caring for and educating children.
