Releasing more than 350 kg of fish fry to regenerate aquatic resources

On the afternoon of November 8, at the Song Mien 6 Hydropower Plant area, Ha Giang 2 Ward, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province organized a launching ceremony for releasing fish fry to restore aquatic resources in response to the 66th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Fisheries Industry (April 1, 1959 - April 1, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Agriculture and Environment Industry (November 14, 1945 - November 14, 2025).

Attending the launching ceremony were comrade Hoang Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment; representatives of departments, branches, units and a large number of local people.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee released more than 350 kg of fish fry, mainly native fish species such as silver carp, common carp, etc., into the Mien River to supplement, regenerate and develop natural aquatic resources.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long emphasized that this is a meaningful activity, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society in the work of protecting and developing aquatic resources. He suggested to strengthen propaganda to the people about the significance of protecting rare aquatic species; exploiting aquatic products in a sustainable manner; at the same time, assigning the People's Committee of Ha Giang 2 Ward to monitor and protect the newly released fish, strictly prohibiting all exploitation and fishing activities around the fish release area during the prescribed time.

The fish seed release activity not only has conservation significance but also demonstrates Tuyen Quang province's commitment to preserving the ecological environment, sustainable development and connecting the community in protecting aquatic resources.
