On the evening of November 8, the Border Guard of Quang Ngai province informed that the third victim in the missing at sea incident in Ly Son special zone (Quang Ngai), Mr. Duong Quang Cuong (44 years old, in Tay village, An Vinh, Ly Son special zone) was rescued by a fishing boat from Quang Tri.

Ms. Tran Thi Ngon (a resident of Ly Son special zone) said that Mr. Duong Quang Cuong had just called home to inform his family that he had been rescued by a Quang Tri fishing boat, 30 nautical miles from Ly Son island. Currently, the Anh Vinh ship is approaching the Quang Tri fishing boat to bring Mr. Cuong home.

Previously, at 8:45 a.m. the same day, the Quang Ngai Maritime Port Authority received a report from Mr. Hoang Phu Xuyen, captain of the Hai Nam 39 ship, which was traveling from Vinh Tan port to Son Duong port (Ha Tinh). When the ship passed through the waters bordering Quang Ngai - Gia Lai , the crew discovered a man drifting at sea and organized a rescue.
The victim was identified as Mr. Phan Duy Quang (47 years old, in Ly Son special zone). At the time of his discovery, Mr. Quang was in poor health but mentally stable. The location of his discovery was about 60 nautical miles from Ly Son island.

At 4:10 p.m. the same day, while searching for the remaining two missing victims, the people on board the An Vinh discovered Le Van Sanh (37 years old, from Tay village, An Hai commune) swimming in the Gia Lai sea, so they rescued him. Currently, Sanh's health is normal.
Immediately after rescuing Mr. Sanh, the An Vinh ship continued its journey to search for the remaining missing victim, Mr. Duong Quang Cuong.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 6, Mr. Duong Quang Cuong (44 years old, in Tay village, An Vinh commune) jumped into the sea at Ly Son wharf area due to family conflict. Discovering the incident, Mr. Le Van Sanh (37 years old, in Tay village, An Hai commune) and Mr. Phan Duy Quang (47 years old, in Tay village, An Vinh commune) used a basket boat to rescue.
After rescuing Mr. Cuong, due to big waves, the boat was swept away and all 3 people lost contact with the shore. Ly Son Border Guard Station and local authorities mobilized Thanh Tam ship (VT 0035) captained by Mr. Dang Van Thanh to organize the search.
Division 372 (Air Defense - Air Force) also sent helicopters to join the search for missing victims in Ly Son sea area.

Thus, after 2 days drifting at sea, in just 1 day, 3 men missing at sea in Ly Son special zone were found.
