The third person (who also jumped off the bridge) is Duong Quang Cuong, born in 1982. Cuong was found by a fishing boat of Quang Binh fishermen in Gia Lai waters, near where the previous two people were found.
"Authorities are approaching the fishing boat that found Mr. Cuong to receive him, then will bring the victims back to Ly Son," informed Chairman of the People's Committee of Ly Son Special Economic Zone Nguyen Van Huy.
As reported by VNA, at 8:45 a.m. on November 8, the first person found among the three missing people was Phan Duy Quang (47 years old), residing in Tay An Vinh village (Ly Son Special Zone). Quang was discovered and rescued by the captain of the Hai Nam 39 ship while drifting at sea about 60 nautical miles from Ly Son Island. Immediately after being rescued and given first aid, Quang asked to join the rescue team to assist the authorities in searching for the remaining two people.
On the same afternoon, the An Vinh ship (Ly Son) found Mr. Le Van Sanh (37 years old), residing in Tay An Hai village. This was the second victim of the three victims found after two days drifting at sea. The location where the victim was found was near the area where Mr. Quang was discovered on the same morning. Mr. Quang and Mr. Sanh were the two people who directly went out to sea to rescue Mr. Duong Quang Cuong on the afternoon of November 6 when storm No. 13 made landfall.
Previously, on the afternoon of November 6, Mr. Duong Quang Cuong (44 years old) in Tay An Vinh village, for family reasons, went to Ly Son wharf and jumped into the sea. Afterwards, Mr. Le Van Sanh (37 years old) in Tay An Hai village and Mr. Pham Duy Quang (47 years old) in Tay An Vinh village used a basket boat to rescue the person who jumped off the bridge. After rescuing Mr. Cuong, due to the big waves, all three could not row the basket boat to shore and were then swept away and disappeared.
