The program attracted 61 Lao and Cambodian students studying at universities in Ho Chi Minh City, along with Vietnamese families supporting their participation.
At the program, the delegation participated in activities such as: Visiting the Monument Park, the Memorial House of Heroic Martyr Vo Thi Sau, the Minh Dam Mountain Revolutionary Base, Tam Thang Square and the Bach Dinh Historical Site (Ho Chi Minh City); an exchange program between Vietnamese students and families, introducing the cultural and traditional beauty of the three countries.
Through the trip, students learned more about the history of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, especially the history of revolutionary struggles, along with the culture, people and economic and tourism development strengths of each locality.
Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Head of the Program Organizing Committee emphasized: "The Program of Vietnamese Families and Lao and Cambodian Students Studying in Ho Chi Minh City" is not only a material support but also a spiritual support for the students. This is a solid bridge, helping them feel the closeness and love from their Vietnamese adoptive parents and be considered as their own children.

Souknilanh Phoutthasak, from Laos, a student majoring in Dentistry at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, said: “This is a great opportunity for us to better understand the beautiful traditional culture of the Vietnamese people, and at the same time introduce Lao and Cambodian culture to the young generation of Vietnam. The experiences of the resilient revolutionary tradition help us to appreciate the peace and friendship and solidarity between the three countries.”
The program contributed to spreading strongly, becoming a vivid demonstration of the spirit of international solidarity and borderless friendship between the three countries. The active participation of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and Women's Union showed the deep concern of socio- political organizations for future generations and people-to-people diplomacy.
