At 8:00 p.m. on November 9, authorities in Phu Giao and Phuoc Hoa communes..., Ho Chi Minh City (Phu Giao district, former Binh Duong province) were urgently repairing fallen trees caused by a storm in the evening of the same day.
Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , the leader of Phu Giao Commune People's Committee said that initially there were no recorded human casualties.
Authorities are working to cut down trees and fix the problem. Power has been restored to some areas that were cut off. Damage estimates are being clarified.
The initial cause of the tree falling was determined to be a large thunderstorm accompanied by rain in the Phu Giao area in the evening of the same day. Some residents said they rarely saw such a thunderstorm with strong winds.
In some places, fallen trees pulled down electric poles and crushed motorbikes.
Local authorities were present on the roads that same evening. Currently, the functional forces are actively deployed to fix the problem, ensuring smooth traffic and safety for the people.
