
Accordingly, on the morning of November 9th, Mr. Nguyen Van Kieng (born in 1974, residing in Ke Ga village, Tan Thanh commune) was fishing in the sea area belonging to Ke Ga village, about 0.5 nautical miles from the shore, when he discovered a floating corpse in a state of decomposition. Mr. Kieng then brought the victim ashore in Ke Ga village, Tan Thanh commune.
Upon verification, the victim was identified as Mr. Vong Ly Sang, born in 1981, residing in Ward 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Vong Ly Sang went missing on the morning of November 7, 2025, while swimming in the sea in the Ke Ga hamlet area, Tan Thanh commune. The Tan Thanh commune police have carried out the necessary legal procedures and handed over the victim's body to his family.
Earlier, on November 7th, upon receiving information that tourists swimming at Ke Ga beach had gone missing, Tan Thanh Border Guard Station mobilized 12 officers and soldiers, using the unit's canoe and coordinating with two fishing boats from local fishermen and other forces such as the commune police, the Tan Thanh Commune Military Command, etc., to organize a search and rescue operation at sea.
Tan Thanh Border Guard Station advises residents and tourists to absolutely refrain from swimming in the sea during this time, as the weather is being affected by the Northeast monsoon, with high waves and strong winds, posing a high risk of accidents.
