Prioritize domestic trips.
The summer tourist season is entering its peak. Domestic travel bookings are experiencing strong growth. According to data from Traveloka, Vietnamese travelers are increasingly prioritizing high-quality beach and island trips, holidays in major cities, and itineraries linked to events and festivals, offering outstanding experiential value.
“What we’ve observed this summer is the image of a generation of Vietnamese travelers who are more proactive and purposeful in planning their trips, viewing domestic travel as an important part of their lifestyle and a need for rejuvenation,” shared Huynh Thi Mai Thy, Director of Traveloka Vietnam.

Market analysis from this platform shows that domestic travel demand in June and July was concentrated on prominent coastal destinations and major urban centers.
Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are among the most searched domestic destinations for air tickets, reflecting the demand for short urban getaways with convenient transportation. Meanwhile, Vung Tau has emerged as a hot spot for accommodation thanks to the trend of self-driving tours to nearby cities.
Coastal and island tourism is experiencing strong growth.
Affirming its position as Vietnam's top summer destination, Da Nang has risen to the number one spot on Traveloka's list of most popular accommodation destinations, while also recording strong growth in domestic flight bookings.

The city's appeal continues to be solidified as it was ranked second on Lonely Planet's list of "Asia's Best Summer Destinations." Meanwhile, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026) was voted one of the Top 9 most worthwhile summer festivals in the world by Travel + Leisure.
Coastal and island destinations are experiencing strong growth this summer. Phu Quoc is the fastest-growing destination in the country, with a 56% increase in searches for summer flight tickets, followed by Con Dao with a 42% increase.
Familiar coastal destinations like Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, and Mui Ne maintain their steady appeal as they enter the peak tourist season in August.
This shows that high-quality beach and island holidays continue to be the top choice for Vietnamese tourists during the hot season.
