On November 8, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) said that by 6 p.m. the same day, power companies in the region had restored power to more than 1.19 million customers, reaching nearly 72.5% of the total number of customers who lost power due to storm Kalmaegi.
On November 8 alone, the electricity sector restored power supply to more than 70,000 customers. This result is the result of the maximum efforts of power units in the storm-hit area.
To date, more than 455,000 customers have not had their power restored due to the storm. EVNCPC said it is mobilizing all its forces to urgently restore and provide power to the people.
Specifically, on the 110kV grid, 29/30 line incidents have been restored, with only one 110kV line (173/Hoai Nhon - 177/220 Phu My), belonging to Gia Lai Electricity Company, being handled. All 110kV transformer stations have been restored and are operating safely.
Regarding the medium voltage grid, the entire system had 468 incidents, 308 of which have been resolved, and 160 are still being resolved. A total of 19,563 distribution transformer stations lost power, of which 14,148 have been restored, and 5,415 are being resolved.

After the storm, EVNCPC mobilized maximum human resources, vehicles, and equipment from 6 member companies with 1,300 people to support the electricity sector of Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces to handle power line problems and quickly restore power to people.
According to records, from the evening of November 8, many places in Quy Nhon urban area (Gia Lai), where the storm swept through, have had their electricity restored. People's daily life and work have gradually returned to normal.
