Specifically, from 7:00 a.m., the spillway discharge was increased to 320 m³/s, combined with discharge through generators at a flow rate of 750–800 m³/s, the total amount of water discharged downstream reached 1,000–1,100 m³/s. By 2:00 p.m. the same day, the spillway discharge continued to increase to 480 m³/s, raising the total discharge downstream to 1,200–1,300 m³/s.
Previously, the spillway discharge was maintained at a low level of only 160m³/second. The adjustment was made according to the approved reservoir regulation plan, based on weather conditions, water flow into the reservoir and water levels downstream of the Dong Nai River.

Tri An Hydropower Company recommends that people living, farming, raising livestock and engaging in aquaculture activities in the downstream area proactively implement response measures: move assets, livestock, boats to safe places, closely monitor information to minimize possible damage.
Tri An Hydropower Plant is the largest hydropower project in the Southern region, not only serving electricity production but also playing an important role in flood regulation, preventing salinity and ensuring water sources for daily life and agricultural production in the downstream of Dong Nai River.
