Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Y La High School

Y La High School was established in September 1985, with the original name of Tuyen Quang Town Work-Study High School. After many stages of name changes from: Song Lo Technical High School, Y La Secondary-High School and since 2005 the school has officially been named Y La High School.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Thanh Tra presented a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to the collective of Y La High School.

From a small school built on a wild land, with poor facilities, classrooms with thatched roofs, earthen walls, and desks and chairs made by the students themselves, up to now, through many stages, the school's facilities have been increasingly invested in to be more spacious and modern. The team of teachers, officers and staff of the school has been constantly improved in both quantity and quality, and their professional qualifications have been continuously improved to meet the requirements of educational innovation.

The Director of the Department of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to individuals with outstanding achievements.

In teaching, the school's teachers constantly innovate teaching methods; many teachers have achieved excellent teaching titles at all levels; the rate of good and excellent students has continuously increased, the rate of students passing graduation is always high, among the leading groups in the province. The rate of students admitted to universities and colleges is increasingly high. In the 2024-2025 school year, the school had 215/231 students passing the first round of university entrance exams, reaching a rate of 93.1%. From the school, many generations of students have grown up, actively contributing to the cause of building and developing the country, many of whom are holding key leadership positions in and outside the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Thanh Tra acknowledged and commended the school's achievements over the past 40 years of construction and development. At the same time, she requested Y La High School to continue to aim to become a leading high school in the province's educational career. Teachers are always shining examples of morality and lifestyle, exemplary in life for students to follow.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to the school and 5 individuals; the Department of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to the collective with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement (2020-2025 period) and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in the process of building and developing the school.
