Can Tho City veterans support people affected by natural disasters with 405 million VND

(CT) - From the beginning of October 2025 until now, the Veterans Association of Can Tho City has organized a campaign to mobilize cadres and members of the Veterans Association to contribute to help people affected by natural disasters in the Central and Northern provinces. To date, cadres and members of the Veterans Association have contributed 405 million VND.

Leaders of the Association of War Veterans of Truong Xuan commune presented money to support people affected by natural disasters to representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Truong Xuan commune.

In October 2025, the City Veterans Association launched a campaign for its officers and members to donate and respond to the program to support the Cuban people with the theme "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship" on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025) and the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year. The program to support the Cuban people is an activity assigned by the Party, the State, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to the Vietnam Red Cross Society to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, socio-political organizations and unions. Officers and members of the City Veterans Association donated 127 million VND to the Cuban people.
