The Ministry of Public Security supports 40 tons of goods for Gia Lai province to overcome the consequences of storm No. 13.

On November 8, a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Civil Defense Steering Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, visited and provided essential goods to help Gia Lai people overcome the consequences of storm No. 13.

The working group donated 40 tons of rice, food and essential necessities to help people stabilize their lives immediately after the storm. The group visited and presented gifts to Ms. Huynh Thi Thoa (born in 1965, in Quy Nhon Dong ward, Gia Lai ), a single-parent household living alone; and to Mr. Nguyen Van Phung (born in 1992, in Tuy Phuoc Dong commune, Gia Lai). Due to the impact of storm No. 13, Ms. Thoa's and Mr. Phung's houses were both severely damaged, with collapsed walls and completely blown-off roofs, making life extremely difficult.

Ms. Thoa emotionally said: “I lost almost everything in my house, I couldn’t sleep all night. I thank the working group very much. With the timely care and encouragement of the Ministry of Public Security, the people here also feel somewhat comforted.”

Sharing the difficulties with the people, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security, requested the police force to review and propose appropriate measures and support to families of people who suffered heavy losses caused by storm No. 13.

At Quy Nhon Dong ward, the working delegation visited and presented gifts to the shock force of the Provincial Police who are helping people overcome the consequences of storm No. 13. After 4 days of helping people prevent and fight against storms and floods, the shock force of Gia Lai Provincial Police in the localities stood shoulder to shoulder with the ward police force to support people to overcome the historic storm.

Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen presented gifts from the Minister of Public Security to the working group, acknowledging and praising the great efforts and determination of the Gia Lai Police force in proactively responding to and helping people during the recent storm.

With a sense of responsibility and the highest effort, on the afternoon of November 8 and November 9, relevant units will transfer all relief goods from the Ministry of Public Security to people affected by the storm. This emergency relief activity continues to deeply demonstrate the spirit of "when people need, when people are in difficulty, there is the Police", affirming the core role of the People's Public Security force in the work of preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, contributing to stabilizing people's lives, maintaining security and order in areas affected by storm No. 13.
