On November 7th, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, after considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee regarding disciplinary action against violating Party members, the Secretariat found that Mr. Cao Tien Dung (former Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Dong Nai province); Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung (former Provincial Party Committee member, member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province); and Mr. Nguyen Tan Chan (former Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Hoa district, Phu Yen province, now Dak Lak province) had deteriorated in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; and violated Party regulations and State laws in performing their assigned duties and responsibilities.
These officials also violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and severely damaging the reputation of the Party organization and the agency or unit where they work.
Based on the content, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violations; and based on the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Secretariat of the Central Committee decided to expel from the Party the following individuals: Cao Tiến Dũng, Nguyễn Quốc Hùng, and Nguyễn Tấn Chân.
The Secretariat of the Central Committee requested that relevant agencies promptly and consistently implement administrative disciplinary measures in parallel with Party disciplinary measures.
