The Secretariat expelled three Party officials and members who violated the law.

The Secretariat has disciplined and expelled from the Party three officials and party members in Dong Nai and Dak Lak whose violations are assessed to have caused very serious consequences.

On November 7, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, after considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee on disciplining violating party members, the Secretariat found that Mr. Cao Tien Dung (former member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Dong Nai province); Nguyen Quoc Hung (former member of the Provincial Party Committee, member of the Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee); Nguyen Tan Chan (former member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Tay Hoa District People's Committee, Phu Yen province, now Dak Lak province), had degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks.

These officials also violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very negative effects on the reputation of the party organization and the agency or unit they work for.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violations; based on the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Secretariat decided to expel from the Party the following: Cao Tien Dung, Nguyen Quoc Hung, and Nguyen Tan Chan.

The Secretariat requested competent authorities to promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.
