Shooting Training Course 2025: Standardizing forces, enhancing safety, ready for SEA Games 33

TPO - On November 18, at the National High-Level Athlete Training Center, the Vietnam Shooting Federation coordinated with the Vietnam Olympic Committee and Department C06 of the Ministry of Public Security to organize the Opening Ceremony of the Training Course on the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives, and Support Tools and the Professional Training Course for Coaches, Athletes, and Professional Staff in 2025.

The training course took place from November 17 to 22, with the participation of 280 officers, coaches, and shooting athletes of the Vietnam Shooting Federation, Ho Chi Minh City Shooting Federation, shooting departments of units, sectors, localities, Sports Universities, National Sports Centers, clubs, and sports shooting centers across the country.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thien Minh - Vice President of the Vietnam Shooting Federation said: "The training course is organized to improve professional qualifications, legal knowledge, skills in using - managing - preserving weapons and equipment, contributing to ensuring absolute safety in training, competition and professional work at the units.

The Vietnam Shooting Federation always identifies: "People, Safety, Discipline, Professionalism" as the key factor in the current development strategy, aiming at international integration, achieving high results in major arenas such as SEA Games, Asian Games and Olympics. To do this, the team of coaches, athletes and professional staff must be well-trained and regularly updated with new knowledge.

The training course includes 2 classes: Class 1 (85 students) Improve professional qualifications for officials, coaches, athletes and train professional instructors for Sport Shooting on World Shooting Laws taught by international Shooting Experts and instructors of the Vietnam Shooting Federation. The Vietnam Shooting Federation issues a Certificate of professional sports training for Sport Shooting instructors.

Class 2 (195 students) trained to improve awareness of the Law on management and use of weapons, explosives, support tools and documents guiding implementation for officers, coaches and Vietnamese shooting athletes taught by Department C06 of the Ministry of Public Security , issued Certificates on use of sports weapons and Certificates on management of weapons, military explosives and support tools.

This is very useful knowledge for Vietnamese shooting officers, coaches, and athletes to apply in practice in training, coaching, training, and domestic and international competitions of athletes and coaches. Improve understanding and sense of responsibility for the Law on management and use of weapons, explosives, support tools and guiding documents to strictly manage and use weapons and equipment in accordance with the law, ensuring security and safety in training and competition.

This course not only provides training and updates knowledge, but also contributes to creating a standardized, qualified and competent human resource system to serve the sustainable, safe and legal development of Shooting in Vietnam.

At the end of the 2025 Technical Training Course, the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Vietnam Shooting Federation and localities will send a delegation of National Shooting Team athletes to train in Korea from November 20 to December 2 to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

In December 2025, Vietnam Shooting will participate in pistol, rifle, Trap, Skeet and Compak Sporting competitions at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) held in Thailand.
