Deo Ca tunnel toll station started opening free lanes for charity convoys carrying relief goods to provinces from November 23.

A representative of Deo Ca Group said that in the context of prolonged heavy rains causing deep flooding, landslides and severe damage in many localities in the Central Highlands, people's lives have been disrupted, essential goods need to be accessed quickly. In the spirit of "mutual love", Deo Ca Group decided to open lanes and exempt all road use services for vehicles carrying relief goods from November 23. This policy applies at all 21 toll stations that the enterprise is managing and operating nationwide.

In parallel with opening free lanes, Deo Ca Group mobilized forces to coordinate with Road Management Areas and local police to divert and guide traffic in bad weather conditions. At Deo Ca tunnel (old Phu Yen ), relief vehicles were given priority to pass through the station quickly, reducing waiting time and ensuring safety while traffic volume on the route increased. The enterprise also fully recorded the process of temporarily suspending toll collection to ensure transparency according to regulations.

Many drivers in Ho Chi Minh City on their way to the Central region highly appreciated this support. Mr. Le Thanh Tam (residing in Binh Tan ward), driving a truck carrying more than three tons of relief goods for people in Phu Yen (old) said that being exempted from toll fees helps save costs and shorten the journey. "When traveling long distances and encountering continuous rain and wind, when passing through the toll station, there is a separate lane to help go faster to deliver goods to people in flooded areas in time," said Mr. Tam.

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc (Thu Duc ward) said that his convoy left at midnight and arrived at Deo Ca tunnel in the morning. “It was raining heavily but the station staff still gave enthusiastic instructions. The free road fee at this time is really meaningful, because each convoy has to go through dozens of stations, so any cost reduction is a great help,” said Mr. Phuc.

According to Deo Ca Group, the free transportation not only provides material support for the convoys but also demonstrates the company's social responsibility to the community, accompanying the government and people in the process of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. This policy is expected to help volunteer groups, social organizations, businesses and individuals more conveniently transport necessities and urgent goods to heavily affected areas.

In addition, opening free lanes of Deo Ca Pass at toll stations across the country during the rainy and flood days not only helps smooth the relief journey but also spreads the spirit of solidarity, sharing, and joining hands to support the Central region to soon overcome difficulties.
