Located at an altitude of over 2,000m, Y Tý is not only a unique tourist destination but is also gradually becoming an attractive place with famous peaks in the trekking world such as Lao Than, Nhiu Co San...

Beyond its scenic beauty, Y Tý also captivates tourists with the unique culture of the H'Mông ethnic group. The ancient houses and the simple, friendly nature of the local people are the "soft brand" that makes visitors want to return.

The road to Y Tý is now more convenient than before, best suited for high-clearance vehicles. Low-clearance vehicles can still travel, but it will be more difficult due to some sections under repair and gravel laying. From Hanoi, tourists can take a sleeper bus to Lao Cai and then rent a motorbike to explore , or drive themselves along the route: Hanoi - Lao Cai - Ban Vuoc - Muong Hum - Y Tý.

Ngai Thau Thuong is an ideal cloud-watching spot, where mountain clouds intertwine like a white silk ribbon draped across the sky.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Y Ty commune, after the merger of Y Ty and A Lu communes, the expanded administrative boundaries have brought new opportunities for this area in developing tourism products.

The sea of clouds is usually densest from the end of October to the end of December. Thanks to the large temperature difference between day and night and the characteristic cold climate at an altitude of over 2,300m, Ngai Thau Thuong almost always has clouds in the morning, especially at night when there is fog and little wind.

Clouds continuously form from dawn, sweeping across the mountain slopes and covering the roofs of H'Mông houses, transforming this area into one of Y Tý's most outstanding cloud-watching spots in early winter.

According to locals, the clouds this year have been more consistent and lasted longer than in previous years. On some days, you can't even see the road below from your yard.

Ms. Ly Thi Do, a local resident running a small homestay, said that the number of visitors has increased sharply in recent weeks. Weekends are usually fully booked, and many groups have to stay in neighboring villages and then travel up early in the morning to chase the clouds. The road is difficult, but everyone wants to arrive at the right time when the clouds are beautiful. Photo: An Vi
