Viet Yen Commune: Investing in construction and upgrading of commune and village cultural houses

In order to meet the community living needs of the people, in recent times, Viet Yen commune has focused resources on investing in building, renovating and upgrading the system of communal and village cultural houses. Through many forms of propaganda and mobilization suitable to the actual situation, the locality has attracted a large number of people to participate in contributing and supporting the construction of cultural works, contributing to improving the quality of spiritual life, promoting the movement of building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in the locality.

The cultural festival activities took place enthusiastically at the Viet Yen commune cultural house.

From 2021 to now, Viet Yen commune has invested in building commune cultural houses, building 20 new village cultural houses and repairing 1 village cultural house, with a total construction investment of about 100 billion VND. The cultural houses are completed with a synchronous infrastructure system, relatively fully equipped with equipment, training tools, lighting, and sports grounds to meet the basic needs of people's exchange and sports activities. At the same time, the commune mobilizes villages to prioritize land funds, create spaces for entertainment, physical training and sports in residential areas in accordance with the planning and conditions of each village. Thereby, contributing to meeting the needs of exchange, building cultural life and civilized lifestyle of local people.

In 2022, the Viet Yen commune cultural house was built with a total cost of more than 25 billion VND, with a total area of ​​1,300 m2. After being put into use, meetings, cultural exchanges serving community activities... took place smoothly. Mr. Nguyen Cao Lam, a resident of Binh Phu village, shared: Previously, when the locality had a plan to build a cultural house, all households agreed and participated in support. Thanks to that, people have been able to enjoy increasingly better technical infrastructure and social infrastructure. Since the new cultural house was built, along with a spacious cultural institution system, cultural and sports exchange activities have been very exciting.

To improve the spiritual life of the people and at the same time develop the reading culture, in 2022, with the support of Tan Viet Culture and Education Joint Stock Company, Nhan Ly village cultural house was invested in renovation and renovation to become a model of cultural house - community reading space with more than 4,000 books divided into topics in the fields of history, philosophy, law, art, literature, economics , education... It has become a habit, since the existence of this community reading space, Mr. Nguyen Dang Manh and many people in the village often go to the village cultural house to read books, exchange knowledge, contributing to spreading the habit of reading in the locality. Mr. Manh excitedly said: Building a community reading space at the village cultural house is very practical and meaningful, especially for educating children in modern life, I strongly agree and support.

Along with investing in building cultural facilities, the commune focuses on improving the quality of the movements "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", maintaining and widely developing cultural, artistic, physical education and sports movements. Through the movement, it has promoted people to unite and compete in economic development, building equal, progressive and happy families; cultural lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals has many positive changes; artistic, physical education and sports activities take place vigorously...

However, the commune still has 3 villages without independent cultural houses for community activities, some of which have been degraded. The reason is that the villages lack funds for construction and repair, and do not have land for construction. To ensure the goal of improving the quality of life of the people, striving to complete the task of building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, in the coming time, the commune will continue to make efforts to mobilize all resources to build new, upgrade, and repair cultural houses in villages, and village sports training areas to meet the prescribed standards; continue to consolidate, improve the quality, and effectively exploit cultural institutions; develop a support mechanism for the construction and purchase of specialized equipment for communal and village cultural houses...
