The campus of the cultural house of Quarter 3A, Trang Dai Ward ( Dong Nai Province) is always bustling these days, with people busy folding clothes, wrapping cakes, and sorting relief items. In particular, in the corner of the yard of the 3A neighborhood cultural house, smoke billowed up, giving off a fragrant aroma of vermicelli soup. The owner of this vermicelli soup pot is Ms. Kieu Hong Nhung (residing in Group 46, KP4B, Trang Dai Ward) - a woman who wants to send her whole heart to the volunteers who are working day and night in the flood area.
Ms. Nhung said that when she heard the call for people to wrap cakes and sort the second batch of relief goods to send to people in flood-affected areas, she told herself that she had to contribute something.
“I only have a little strength to cook a pot of vermicelli soup to give the volunteers more energy and warmth when joining hands with the flood victims. All my love and passion are put into this pot of vermicelli soup, I hope everyone enjoys it,” Ms. Nhung shared.

To bring everyone a delicious and attractive pot of vermicelli soup, Ms. Nhung has been busy going to the market since early morning, choosing fresh ingredients. She and her niece take care of every step, from preparation, seasoning to putting the vermicelli into the bowl.
“On November 26, I cooked about 300 bowls of vermicelli soup to serve the volunteers. By 10 p.m., there were only a few dozen bowls left,” Nhung said happily.

Ms. Nhung's hearty bowl of crab noodle soup is both delicious and nutritious with vermicelli, pork patties, tofu, blood pudding, and fragrant crab soup, giving volunteers more energy to complete their work.
Ms. Le Kim Anh (residing in Tan Trieu ward) enjoyed a bowl of vermicelli soup with crab. She said that she was about to go home to buy something to eat, but was invited to enjoy vermicelli soup here. She felt warm when she saw everyone joining hands to help people in the flood area.
According to Ms. Nhung, cooking vermicelli soup comes from the heart and has nothing to do with business. Many people think she sells vermicelli soup, but that is not the case. “I just want to send a little love and support to those who are directly helping people in flood-affected areas,” she said.

The volunteer group is expected to continue wrapping cakes and sorting relief goods until the afternoon of November 28 before officially setting off. Many people expressed their hope that Ms. Nhung would continue to accompany them for the next 2 days, contributing with everyone to prepare necessities to send to people in flooded areas.
“There are only two of us cooking at home, but if people need us, we will continue to accompany them until we finish preparing necessities to send to people in the Central Highlands,” Ms. Nhung shared.

Ms. Nhung confided that her wish is to spend one day each month cooking meals for the Tu Tam Nhan Ai social welfare facility. Some months she cooks noodles or pho, other months it is banh canh - every dish she puts her heart into.
“Following my wish, every month I spend one day to cook 200 servings,” Ms. Nhung shared.
