Binh Lieu is a district in the Northeast of Quang Ninh province, about 270km from Hanoi . With typical highland terrain, the climate here is mild all year round, the air is fresh and there is a variety of natural scenery.
At each time of the year, Binh Lieu possesses its own unique beauty. Spring is bustling with unique ethnic festivals and red leaf scenery, Summer brings the freshness of rolling waterfalls mixed with the lush green of terraced fields.
When autumn comes, Binh Lieu “treats” visitors with the romantic, gentle beauty of white grass hills and misty mornings floating in the clouds. And on winter days, if lucky, visitors can also encounter frost and participate in typical seasonal festivals.

Set foot on the border markers
As an area with nearly 50km of border with China, when coming to Binh Lieu, Gen Z cannot miss the activity of checking in at the border markers. The most famous markers here that you must visit are 1300, 1302, 1305 and 1327.
To conquer the border markers, there are two popular options: renting a motorbike or walking along the mountain trails. While riding a motorbike gives visitors the feeling of enjoying the cool breeze and the vast landscape before their eyes, trekking also offers a challenging yet memorable experience.

Conquering Cao Xiem peak
Cao Xiem Peak (also known as Khau Khoang or Flagpole) is known as the "roof of Quang Ninh ", with an altitude of more than 1,400m above sea level.
Due to not being affected much by tourism , most of the roads and mountain slopes here still retain their original pristine, fresh and peaceful beauty. On the journey to conquer Cao Xiem peak, visitors will also pass through many villages, have the opportunity to observe and understand the working life of the people here.

Notably, the process of conquering Cao Xiem peak is not easy. Visitors have to overcome a distance of nearly 7km, requiring physical and mental endurance. However, in return, this is also an ideal experience for a group of friends to camp overnight and watch the sunrise in the middle of the majestic mountains and forests.
Cloud hunting in Cao Ly mountain
The Cao Ly Mountains, where the earth and sky seem to blend into one, are an ideal destination for tourists who love cloud hunting .
Goryeo is a mountain range stretching over 40km2 with 8 majestic peaks over 1000m high. If from July to September, Goryeo is attractive because of the flowers covering the hills, then October to November is the best time to hunt clouds and watch the sunrise.

Coming to this "coordinate", the yellow color of the blooming sun, along with the beauty of the pristine clouds embracing the mountains and forests promise to make you exclaim in admiration.
"Visit" Khe Van waterfall
Khe Van Waterfall is not only an interesting natural tourist destination but also associated with the cultural and ethnic values here - it used to be a dating place for San Chi ethnic boys and girls.
With a height of nearly 100m, the waterfall is divided into 3 levels with each having its own nuances. The first level is a large space with a rock protruding like the image of an elephant lying among rocks of different sizes. Meanwhile, at the second level, the water is divided into two impressive large and small sides, and the last level is also where you can fully admire the magnificent beauty of the waterfall.

In particular, people living in Binh Lieu mainly come from different ethnic minorities such as Tay, Dao, San Chi,... Therefore, besides nature, visitors coming here can also explore unique cultural features.

Coming to Binh Lieu, teenagers must at least once participate in the local ethnic markets. This is not only a place for tourists to enjoy attractive cuisine such as Banh Ngai, Banh Coc Mu,.. but also have the opportunity to learn more about the spiritual life of the ethnic groups.
