Binh Duc Ward inaugurates the Health Station Bridge.

Construction of the Health Station Bridge began on March 19, 2025, and was completed after 5 months of intensive construction.

The bridge is 30m long, 5m wide, with a clearance of 6m for navigation, and has a sturdy reinforced concrete structure with 3 spans, ensuring technical standards and traffic safety.

The total cost of constructing the bridge was nearly 700 million VND, funded through social contributions from philanthropists, businesses, and local people both within and outside the area.

This project is a celebration of the First Congress of the Party Committee of Binh Duc Ward, term 2025-2030 (held on August 19th and 20th); the 137th anniversary of the birth of President Ton Duc Thang (August 20th, 1888 - August 20th, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19th, 1945 - August 19th, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2nd, 1945 - September 2nd, 2025).

Mr. Tran Banh (a resident of Binh Duc 2 hamlet) said: “The old iron bridge was dilapidated, the bridge deck was narrow, and it did not ensure safe traffic. When the local authorities started the construction of the new bridge, we were very happy and, without hesitation, joined hands to contribute to its completion as soon as possible.”

Vo Van Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duc Ward, presented certificates of commendation to residents who actively contributed to the construction of the bridge.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Binh Duc Ward expressed gratitude for the outstanding contributions of 4 individuals and businesses; and awarded commendations to the collective of Brigade 6 (Military Region 9) and 8 individuals who actively contributed to the construction of the Health Station bridge.

Earlier that morning, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Binh Duc Ward held a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument to President Ton Duc Thang (Long Xuyen Ward). In a solemn atmosphere, the ward's leaders, officials, and staff expressed their profound gratitude to President Ton Duc Thang – a staunch communist soldier, an exemplary leader of the Vietnamese revolution, who dedicated his entire life to the cause of national liberation, reunification of the country, and the freedom and happiness of the people.
