According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip with model number SM 6475-AB is the latest addition to the company's mid-range mobile SoC platform. It is positioned higher than the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 (introduced in May).

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip builds upon the power of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, offering 10% better CPU performance and 20% improved artificial intelligence (AI) performance. The chip is built on a 4-nanometer process with a 64-bit architecture, featuring an octa-core Qualcomm Kryo CPU with a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz.
Reportedly, devices running this chipset will support LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 3200 MHz and full-HD displays with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The integrated Adreno GPU is said to improve performance by up to 30%.
Additionally, it features Qualcomm Sensing Hub with a Low-Power AI System that supports AI-based features such as voice assistants, noise cancellation, and camera capabilities.
Smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip will be able to support lenses up to 200 MP, and this chipset features a triple 12-bit Spectra ISP setup, providing multi-frame noise reduction, AI-based noise reduction engine, and staggered high dynamic range. In terms of connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E, and Quick Charge 4+ via USB Type-C.
