Web dramas, also known as online films, are a familiar term in today's information technology boom. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for online streaming applications has significantly increased internet traffic in households, leading to a booming online film market. However, this proliferation of online streaming applications is causing considerable problems, with many films containing unhealthy content, violence, and even distorted portrayals of Vietnam. Tomorrow, May 20th, Circular No. 05 on film classification, issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will officially come into effect. Of particular note is the stricter management of online films.
