Quang Hai's return to the V-League has been the subject of much discussion recently, following the 1997-born midfielder's decision to part ways with Pau FC one year before his contract expires. The two parties are expected to finalize the contract on June 30, 2023.

Quang Hai joined Pau FC at the start of the 2022/23 season on a two-year contract. However, the Vietnamese international left as a free agent a year before the contract expired. Maintaining financial stability is essential at this time. They understand that Quang Hai would be a good addition but not a good fit for their team.

To date, there has been no information indicating that Hanoi FC has made any approach to Nguyen Quang Hai. Money is not an issue for Chairman Hien, but is this businessman still interested in the gem that was once in his possession? The answer is probably no. The controversies and disputes during contract negotiations a year ago and the repercussions of bringing Quang Hai back are problems that Hanoi FC needs to consider.
