National Highway 28B is now open to traffic.

Following the directives of Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, relevant units mobilized personnel and equipment to resolve the incident on National Highway 28B.

The construction unit is carrying out leveling and clearing work to fix the problem on National Highway 28B.

Previously, on February 15th, on National Highway 28B, specifically the section from Km40+500 to Km41+200, the crushed stone pavement constructed by Khanh Hoa Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company had peeled and deteriorated, causing difficulties for vehicles. Some four-seater cars were unable to move, resulting in prolonged traffic congestion.

In response to this situation, Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, directed relevant units to urgently rectify the problem so that people can travel safely and conveniently.

As of this morning, February 16th, the problem has been largely resolved.

Mr. Le Ngoc Tien, Director of the Department of Construction, said: Following the instructions of Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Construction has requested the construction unit to concentrate manpower and equipment to khắc phục the incident. The Department has sent a Deputy Director to the site to directly supervise and direct the remediation work.

Traffic has returned to normal on National Highway 28B.

Present at the scene to direct the remediation work, Comrade Nguyen Duc Minh Tien said: Currently, the construction unit has mobilized dozens of vehicles to level and prepare the ground. At this time, the remediation work has been basically completed, and traffic is now flowing normally on National Highway 28B.

Four-seater cars were seen traveling on National Highway 28B this morning, February 16th.

Previously, immediately after the incident on National Highway 28B occurred, the Department of Construction sent an urgent letter to Project Management Board 5. Accordingly, to ensure smooth traffic on National Highway 28B during the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, the Department of Construction requested Project Management Board 5 to urgently direct the supervisory consultant and the construction unit to immediately implement solutions to repair and address the damaged section of the road, completing the work by February 16, 2026.

Along with fixing the problem, the construction team also carried out watering to reduce dust, helping vehicles to circulate more smoothly.

The Department of Construction also requested Project Management Board 5 to assign personnel to be on duty and regulate traffic 24/7 in this area and other locations where construction is not yet complete to promptly handle any incidents that may occur. Project Management Board 5 will be held fully responsible if traffic congestion or accidents occur on National Highway 28B.
