Since the evening of December 7, a series of fanpages have posted information such as "Quyen Linh was arrested urgently for selling poor quality goods", "MC Quyen Linh was officially arrested"... The character handcuffed by the police in the video was commented by the audience as "looking like Quyen Linh". However, when looking at the facial movements, this is actually an AI video.
Under the post, some viewers recognized this as an AI video, but some still mistook the character in the video for Meritorious Artist Quyen Linh. After being informed by relatives, the male artist spoke up to correct the information, affirming that this was false information.
The male artist said he had just had a business trip in Hanoi and worked with the Cinema Association, and there was absolutely no way he was arrested.
"Many friends sent me the above information. When I livestreamed, many relatives and audiences commented 'thankfully it's not real news'. Many artists have recently had their information and images faked by AI. I hope the audience will be careful in choosing and avoid being led astray by false content," Quyen Linh warned.
A few days ago, Nhat Kim Anh made a correction after a series of posts such as "Nhat Kim Anh escaped", "Nhat Kim Anh was prosecuted". Many female artists such as Ho Ngoc Ha, Ngo Thanh Van, My Tam... continuously warned about the exploitation of images and voices by AI to spread fake news and advertise products of low reputation. The artists called on authorities to intervene in illegal acts.
In August, Dai Nghia and Quoc Truong simultaneously warned and called for help about the situation of criminals using AI to combine their voices and mouth shapes into videos calling for fraudulent investments and advertising illegal projects.
Mac Van Khoa and Khac Viet also had their voices edited to promote gambling or disguised advertising. The artists confirmed that this was fake content, causing serious impacts and called on the audience to be vigilant.
