According to the policy of building and improving the quality of existing urban areas and residential areas, in 2025, Quang Ninh province plans to allocate about 2,300 billion VND from the budget for synchronous implementation throughout the province. On that basis, communes, wards and special zones have urgently reviewed, renovated and invested in upgrading urban areas and residential areas.
Quang Tan commune is taking action with a spirit of urgency and determination to complete the urban beautification goals, implementing the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit", the locality has launched the "81-day and night peak campaign for the whole people to participate in renovating and beautifying residential infrastructure" mobilizing the participation of the entire political system and people in the whole commune.
Comrade Vu Quoc Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tan Commune, said: The commune has strengthened propaganda and mobilization to create consensus among the people; reviewed and supplemented planning, developed plans to renovate and prioritize resources to renovate existing residential areas. The locality resolutely handled land violations and illegal construction; proactively coordinated with the electricity, telecommunications and water supply sectors to synchronize infrastructure. This is also an important foundation for building a modern infrastructure system, promoting socio-economic development and strengthening people's trust. Currently, the commune is mobilizing all resources to complete site clearance with the consensus of 100% of households to implement 5 key projects on improving the quality of urban areas and residential areas, ensuring 100% disbursement of the public investment plan in 2025 and striving to complete a number of items before the Lunar New Year 2026.
The project to renovate, improve and upgrade the main road in the commune center (from the Tan Dong village gate to the commune stadium) is identified as one of the key projects in the plan to improve the urban appearance of Quang Tan. The project is expected to create a spacious and synchronous urban space, meeting the people's expectations for a safe and civilized living environment, striving to be completed before the Lunar New Year 2026.
Mr. Pham Van Son, Head of the Front Work Committee of Tan Dong village, Quang Tan commune, shared: The first implementation of the commune central road has created excitement and spread strongly to all 31 villages and hamlets. The village has organized meetings and dialogues so that people can clearly understand the benefits of the project and voluntarily donate land, dismantle constructions and crops. Currently, the Party Cell and the neighborhood continue to focus on mobilizing 5 households with encroached land to return the corridor and land for road construction. The village closely follows the progress every day, determined to bring the project to the finish line according to plan.

Like Quang Tan, localities in the province are focusing on urban beautification, creating a clean and beautiful appearance to serve the people to celebrate Tet. Localities have simultaneously launched campaigns to handle violations of urban order, clean the environment, repaint sidewalks, renovate tree systems, lighting systems and check potential unsafe areas. Residential groups and neighborhoods have stepped up their efforts to mobilize people to clean their houses, renovate alleys, and ensure ventilation and cleanliness. Many infrastructure items such as drainage ditches, community activity areas, and lighting systems have been upgraded promptly...
Comrade Bui Thi Huyen Trang, Chairman of Ha Lam Ward People's Committee, said: The ward is implementing 13 urban and residential area upgrading projects with a total investment of more than 180 billion VND, affecting 1,019 households. Up to this point, over 70% of households have agreed to sign the minutes; 84 households have donated 420m² of land, voluntarily demolished 15 semi-roofed houses, 25 gates, fences and 44 yards and steps. The ward has started 2 projects, striving to complete them before New Year's Day. From now until December 10, the ward will start all remaining projects, ensuring the progress of urban beautification at the end of the year.
The active participation of localities has contributed to clearly changing the urban landscape, creating an exciting and secure atmosphere for people to welcome the Lunar New Year 2026.
