In line with the policy of developing and improving the quality of existing urban areas and residential zones, Quang Ninh province plans to allocate approximately 2,300 billion VND from its budget in 2025 for comprehensive implementation throughout the province. Based on this, communes, wards, and special zones have been urgently reviewing, renovating, and investing in upgrading urban areas and residential zones.
Quang Tan commune is working with urgency and determination to achieve urban beautification goals, implementing the motto "the people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit." The locality has launched the "81-day intensive campaign for all citizens to participate in the renovation and beautification of residential area infrastructure," mobilizing the participation of the entire political system and the people throughout the commune.
Comrade Vu Quoc Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tan commune, said: The commune is strengthening propaganda and mobilization to create consensus among the people; reviewing and supplementing planning, developing plans for urban beautification and prioritizing resources for the renovation of existing residential areas. The locality is resolutely handling land violations and illegal construction; proactively coordinating with the electricity, telecommunications, and water supply sectors to synchronize infrastructure. This is also an important foundation for building a modern infrastructure system, promoting socio-economic development and consolidating people's trust. Currently, the commune is mobilizing all resources to complete land clearance with 100% consensus from households to implement 5 key projects on improving urban and residential area quality, ensuring 100% disbursement of the 2025 public investment plan and striving to complete some items before the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
The project to renovate, beautify, and upgrade the main road in the central area of the commune (the section from the entrance gate of Tan Dong village to the commune's stadium) has been identified as one of the key projects in the plan to improve the urban landscape of Quang Tan. The project is expected to create a spacious and integrated urban space, meeting the people's aspirations for a safe and civilized living environment, and is striving for completion before the Lunar New Year 2026.
Mr. Pham Van Son, Head of the Front Committee of Tan Dong village, Quang Tan commune, shared: "The central road project in the commune, being the first to be implemented, has created excitement and spread strongly to all 31 villages and hamlets. The village has organized meetings and dialogues to help people understand the benefits of the project and voluntarily donate land, dismantle structures, and remove crops. Currently, the Party branch and neighborhood are continuing to focus on persuading 5 households with encroached land to return the right-of-way and space for road construction. The village is closely monitoring the progress every day, determined to bring the project to completion on schedule."

Similar to Quang Tan, localities throughout the province are focusing intensely on urban beautification, creating a clean and attractive appearance to serve the people during the Lunar New Year. Localities are simultaneously launching campaigns to address urban order violations, clean up the environment, repaint sidewalks, improve green spaces and street lighting, and review potential safety hazards. Neighborhood groups and communities are actively mobilizing residents to clean their homes and improve alleyways, ensuring they are clean and well-ventilated. Many infrastructure items such as drainage ditches, community centers, and lighting systems are being upgraded promptly…
According to Ms. Bui Thi Huyen Trang, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Ha Lam Ward: The ward is currently implementing 13 urban and residential area upgrade projects with a total investment of over 180 billion VND, affecting 1,019 households. To date, over 70% of households have agreed and signed the minutes; 84 households have donated 420m² of land, voluntarily demolished 15 semi-detached houses, 25 gates and fences, and 44 yards and steps. The ward has started construction on 2 projects, striving to complete them before the New Year. From now until December 10th, the ward will start construction on all remaining projects, ensuring the urban beautification progress by the end of the year.
The active involvement of local authorities has contributed to a noticeable transformation of the urban landscape, creating an atmosphere of excitement and reassurance for people celebrating the Lunar New Year 2026.
