According to a summary by the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, during the past term, labor unions at all levels in the province managed hundreds of grassroots labor unions with female workers; 100% of eligible labor unions established Women's Affairs Committees. Over the past three years, labor unions at all levels organized hundreds of training courses on labor law, gender equality, and reproductive health care; tens of thousands of female workers participated. These activities were not scattered but focused on issues directly related to the working conditions and lives of female workers.

The "Excellent in National Service, Competent in Family Responsibilities" emulation movement continues to be a central theme in women's affairs. Through annual registrations, the percentage of female workers achieving the "Two Excellences" title in many units remains high, becoming a driving force for women to improve their skills, work discipline, and sense of responsibility. More importantly, the movement is linked to the performance evaluation and reward system of enterprises, thereby creating a truly impactful impact.
Within the heavy industry sector, Cua Ong Coal Mining Company (TKV) has a large and stable female workforce. The company currently has 3,042 employees, including: 1,502 female workers , accounting for nearly 50% Total number of employees. Over the past 5 years, the Women's Committee of the Company's Trade Union has maintained the "Excellent in work, good at home" movement, with a high percentage of female employees registering and completing the title annually; many teams and workshops have maintained productivity and quality under continuous production conditions and high pressure.
Practical experience at Cua Ong Coal Sorting Company shows that when the trade union directly participates in labor organization, cares for the lives of female workers, and provides training and mentoring, female workers not only meet production requirements but also perform well in organizational and managerial roles at the facility. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hop, Production Team Leader of the Inspection Workshop, is a specific example. With her mineral processing engineering degree and many years of direct experience working at the coal port, Ms. Hop and her production team carry out quality inspections of coal for sale, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing problems during loading and unloading.

Sharing about her work, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hop said: “The unit's production characteristics require workers, especially female workers, to have a firm grasp of the process, maintain discipline, and cooperate closely during shifts. The trade union always stands by them, from ensuring benefits to providing moral support, so the women feel secure in their work and remain committed to the company in the long term.” In addition to fulfilling her professional duties, Ms. Hop also directly mentors young workers, guiding them on technical procedures and workplace safety, contributing to the stability of the workforce quality in the workshop.
Assessing the situation at the provincial level, Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Phan, Vice President of the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, affirmed: “Building a strong workforce of female workers is a continuous task of the trade union organization. We focus on specific things: protecting their legitimate rights, improving their professional skills, and creating conditions for female workers to participate in management, competition, and dialogue in the workplace.” According to Ms. Phan, the effectiveness of women's work is most clearly demonstrated in the stability of the workforce and harmonious labor relations at the workplace.
Entering 2026, in accordance with the resolutions of trade unions at all levels, Quang Ninh province is determined to continue improving the quality of its female workforce, focusing on vocational training, digital skills, industrial work ethics, and labor discipline. Trade unions will play a key role in organizing and implementing these initiatives, prioritizing the practical needs of female workers and working alongside businesses to stabilize production and achieve sustainable development.
The specific figures and effective models at the grassroots level show that when trade unions play a leading role well, female workers are not only cared for but also become a skilled, disciplined, and responsible workforce, making practical contributions to the development of Quang Ninh in the new era.
