Set in the rural area of Hai Phong (formerly Hai Duong), the film revolves around the story of Tinh, a girl who leaves behind the hustle and bustle and darkness of her massage profession and returns to the simple, peaceful life of a country girl.

In Part 2, the film continues to explore poignant glimpses of life, where people are caught between the choice of letting go or holding on, between hurt and hope. More misfortunes and uncertainties befall Tình, and her relationship with Hưng faces the risk of breaking up and numerous challenges.

The film features renowned artists such as People's Artists Quoc Tri, Quoc Anh, Tran Duc, Hoai Thu, Meritorious Artists Quang Teo, Minh Phuong, Doi Quan, Thuy Lien, Thu Huong, Xuan Dong, Tu Oanh, Thanh Huong, Quang Lam, Mai Long… In addition, the film also includes young actors such as Phung Huyen, Phung Hieu, Thuc Anh, Quang Thuan, Do Hien… representing new creativity and the continuation of Vietnamese cinema.

The film continues to be produced by Quang Hung Group. Film producer Quang Hung also reprises his role as the abbot in the film. Producer Quang Hung said that he had studied and read Buddhist scriptures for eight years prior, so he was not surprised when playing the role of a monk.

Sharing the reason for casting Phung Duc Hieu and Thanh Huyen in the lead roles, director Mai Long said: “When choosing the lead actors for 'Buong 2', we didn't prioritize immediate fame, but rather carefully considered who could portray the inner life of the characters most authentically.”

Director Mai Long commented that, with Phung Duc Hieu, he is a young face making his mark on VTV's prime time, but what led the team to choose him was not just his recognition, but also his maturity in acting, his ability to restrain himself, and the way the actor made the character "come alive" in a very realistic way.

Regarding Phùng Huyền, director Mai Long believes that she is a traditional Vietnamese opera (chèo) artist who brings a gentle, profound quality to the female lead character, along with the ability to express emotions through her eyes and silence. This is very suitable for the spirit of "Buông 2".

"By placing these two young faces alongside seasoned artists, we hope to create an intersection of experience and new vitality, so that the story has both depth and the spirit of today's times," said Mai Long.

Director Mai Long also affirmed that "Let Go 2" is not a film to watch for fun, but rather to make viewers pause for a moment, to ask themselves if they have let go correctly, if they have held on enough, and if there is anyone else who needs a word of sympathy before entering the new year.

“Tet is a time for reunion and forgiveness. We believe that, when placed within a complete emotional experience—with moments of silence and laughter—'Let Go 2' will not only remain in theaters but will continue to live on in family conversations, in hugs, and in moments of proactively returning to each other,” director Mai Long further shared.

“We chose to release 'Let Go 2' alongside the Lunar New Year comedy series so that audiences can not only reflect but also relax and laugh. Because Tet is not only a time to look at profound things, but also a time when we need lightheartedness and joy,” director Mai Long expressed.

The film "Let Go 2" and the series of comedy films are expected to be released on several online platforms to serve audiences.
