Rapper Lil Ken was arrested in Ho Chi Minh City.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - By providing false information about knowing many leaders, rapper Lil Ken and his ex-wife defrauded a person under police investigation of 1.8 billion VND.

On December 24th, the Economic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police initiated criminal proceedings and temporarily detained Trinh Thanh Duc (born in 1996, rapper Lil Ken), and imposed a travel ban on Nguyen Thi Lan (born in 1998, Duc's ex-wife) for the crime of fraud and appropriation of property.

According to the police, Lan colluded with rapper Lil Ke, providing false information that she had extensive connections and knew many high-ranking officials, and that she could help Ta Nguyen Hong An (born in 1998, Lan's high school friend) contact the Criminal Police Department - Ministry of Public Security (C02) to pay compensation on behalf of An, who was under investigation for fraud and misappropriation of property.

Authorities are urging anyone who is a victim of rapper Lil Ken and Nguyen Thi Lan to urgently contact investigator Nguyen Minh Duc - Team 4, Economic Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police to report and cooperate with the investigation.

Rapper Lil Ken, based in Ho Chi Minh City, has a significant social media influence, with over 300,000 followers on TikTok and tens of thousands on Facebook. He has several notable songs, including "Remembering a Stranger," "Trust and You," and "I Need You." Additionally, Lil Ken has collaborated with many other famous singers.
