Rashford returns to Manchester

Striker Marcus Rashford returned to Manchester this week to train and celebrate his 28th birthday.

The English star posted a series of training videos at the Salford gym, with the caption on Instagram: "Making progress little by little – 48 hours back home."

Since the start of the season, Rashford has been involved in 12 goal contributions (5 goals, 7 assists) in 13 games for Barcelona – a remarkable achievement in his first season playing in Spain on loan from Manchester United. The 28-year-old is also reportedly trying to convince Barca's management to activate the buy-out clause next summer.

During his time in Manchester, Rashford also spent time catching up with old friends. Defender Luke Shaw shared a picture of his son wearing a Rashford jersey. In response, Rashford shared a comment with the text "RS" – believed to be addressed to Reign Shaw, Luke Shaw's son.

This weekend, Rashford will return to Spain to prepare for Barcelona's home match against Elche on November 3rd.
