This news came as a surprise to many because the Hanoi Police FC was reportedly considering inviting former Thailand national team coach Alexandre Polking. However, at the last minute, the police team reportedly decided to sign Kiatisuk instead.
Reportedly, the Thai coach will begin his work next week. His goal upon joining the new team is nothing less than to lead the team to successfully defend their championship title, while also aiming for a continental-level tournament.

Currently, the "hot seat" at Hanoi Police FC is vacant after the club's leadership terminated the contract with South Korean coach Gong Oh Kyun following four consecutive draws and losses. If coach Kiatisuk takes over Hanoi Police FC, this promises to be beneficial for both sides.
It's worth reiterating that although Kiatisuk is currently the head coach of HA Gia Lai , he "shares" coaching authority with Director Vu Tien Thanh. After 8 winless matches in the V-League 2023-24, HA Gia Lai recently surprised everyone by defeating Hanoi FC to secure their first victory of the season. Naturally, Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh played a major role in implementing personnel and tactical changes for HA Gia Lai.
Therefore, if he joins Hanoi Police FC, Coach Kiatisuk will end his tenure at HA Gia Lai after nearly 3 years of coaching. After the Thai coach's departure, Coach Vu Tien Thanh could take over HA Gia Lai as early as round 9 of the V-League 2023-24.
