In Hoanh Mo commune, the atmosphere is bustling with preparations for the day of enlistment. The selected young men are also rushing to complete their final tasks, preparing their belongings for the new journey. In a small house in Dong Cam village, citizen Nong Duc Giang is also busy arranging his belongings before enlistment. For Giang, this is not only a responsibility of youth, but also a source of pride to wear the military uniform. “I am very proud to fulfill my military duty. This is an opportunity for me to train myself, become more mature, and contribute to protecting the Fatherland,” Giang shared.

Along with the recruitment process, Hoanh Mo commune is currently focusing on effectively managing and motivating young people before, during, and after the Lunar New Year. Major Nguyen Trong Nghiem, Deputy Political Commissar of the Commune Military Command, stated: "The Commune Military Command closely coordinates with relevant departments, organizations, and families to ensure that young people meet the health requirements and have stable morale before the enlistment day. We strictly manage the list of selected young people, regularly disseminate information and remind them not to violate the law; at the same time, we organize visits and encouragement to help them maintain their health and ensure absolute safety before their enlistment."
Not only in Hoanh Mo commune, but all localities have seriously and strictly implemented the recruitment and conscription of citizens into the military in 2026, ensuring compliance with regulations. To date, localities in the province have completed the delivery of conscription decisions to successful candidates, with the number meeting the assigned targets.
Through the medical examination and selection process, the quality of this year's conscripts is assessed as good, with 6.8% classified as health category 1, 45% as category 2, and 48.2% as category 3. Notably, among the total number of conscripts this year, 17 are Party members; 587 have received Party awareness training; and 971 have volunteered to enlist, demonstrating the responsibility and awareness of young people towards the task of defending the Fatherland.

From February 12th to March 2nd, 2026, localities throughout the province will organize meetings, present gifts, and encourage young people before they depart for military service. Each citizen performing military service will receive a gift worth between 2 and 6 million VND, demonstrating the care and encouragement of the Party committee, government, and people towards the youth.
Along with completing the selection process, localities in the province are urgently finalizing the last preparations for the 2026 military conscription ceremony. According to the plan, the ceremony will be held on March 4th, 2026 (the 16th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Horse). This year's ceremony will be held at 10 locations throughout the province, chaired by the Regional Defense Commands in coordination with local authorities.
To ensure the safety of the military enlistment ceremony, relevant authorities have developed plans to provide all necessary support. The provincial police, in coordination with other units and localities, have deployed forces to ensure security, order, and traffic safety at the enlistment points and along the routes used for transporting new recruits. The health sector has deployed medical teams and ambulances to the ceremony area, ready to provide healthcare and handle any incidents that may arise throughout the ceremony. Simultaneously, logistical support, electricity supply, and information dissemination have been fully prepared, contributing to the smooth running of the enlistment ceremony.
Colonel Le Trong Hoa, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, stated: "At this point, preparations for the 2026 military conscription ceremony in the province have been largely completed. The Provincial Military Command has directed the Regional Defense Commands and local authorities to fully prepare the necessary conditions regarding infrastructure, personnel, and equipment; and to coordinate closely with relevant agencies to ensure the ceremony is solemn, safe, and in accordance with regulations, while also creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm so that young people throughout the province can confidently and readily enlist to fulfill their military service and defend the Fatherland."
