Cristiano Ronaldo concludes 2025 with a special match, where soaring emotions intertwine with an unwanted milestone in his illustrious career.

Ronaldo will not score any hat-tricks in 2025.

In the early hours of December 31st, Al Nassr drew 2-2 with Al Ettifaq, and Ronaldo scored another goal in a rare fashion. The ball bounced off his back after a shot from Joao Felix and rolled over the goal line. This goal brought CR7's career total to 957, nearing the historic milestone of 1,000 goals.

However, for the first time in 15 years, Ronaldo ended a calendar year without scoring a hat-trick. The streak, which ran from 2010 to 2024 with at least one official match scoring three goals each year, has now concluded.

Earlier, Ronaldo came very close to extending this record, but his third goal against Al Akhdoud was disallowed by VAR, causing the opportunity to slip away in disappointment.

The last time he scored a hat-trick was in May 2024, when Al Nassr thrashed Al Wehda 6-0. Since then, Ronaldo has consistently scored, but has been unable to replicate those explosive three-goal performances of over a decade.

The draw with Al Ettifaq also ended Al Nassr's winning streak in the Saudi Pro League. After 10 consecutive wins, Ronaldo's team had to settle for a draw thanks to an outstanding performance from Georginio Wijnaldum. Nevertheless, Al Nassr still holds a 3-point advantage over the chasing pack.
