On the evening of February 1st, the 2024 Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival opened in Lang Son City, attracting thousands of people to enjoy spectacular artistic performances with the theme "Shining Peach Blossoms – Radiant and Reaching Far".
Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, declared the opening of the 2024 Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival.
The performances in the program were meticulously and elaborately staged with three main parts: "Legend of a Flower" about spring and the meaning of peach blossoms in Lang Son; "The Beauty of Lang Son" showcasing the beauty of the land and people of Lang Son; and "Lang Son, My Homeland, Vietnam, My Country" depicting Lang Son during the period of innovation, development, and integration... The performance brought together hundreds of artists and actors from within and outside Lang Son province.
Along with that, there was a spectacular fireworks display that captivated the viewers.
On this occasion, the organizing committee of the 2024 Lang Son Beautiful Peach Blossom Garden and Peach Blossom Tree Contest awarded prizes to the owners of 14 beautiful peach blossom gardens and 21 beautiful peach blossom trees; the organizing committee of the 2024 Lang Son Beautiful Peach Blossom Painting Contest awarded 34 prizes to the participating works.
The double-flowered peach blossom tree was awarded third prize at the festival.
The pair of peach trees from Luu Binh - each tree grafted from 18 peach trees - were highly appreciated by visitors at the festival.
Many peach trees are shaped into unique and attractive forms, drawing visitors.
Besides trees with beautiful shapes, ancient peach trees and mossy peach trees are also highlights of this year's festival.
This year's festival opening ceremony benefited from warm weather and spring rain, causing many peach blossoms to bloom, adding more color to the event.
Besides the cherry blossom display area, the flower-lined street in Lang Son also attracts a large number of tourists.
In addition, there will be an expanded " Culinary Flavors of Lang Son" competition in 2024; an exhibition showcasing and promoting tourism images and the Lang Son Geopark region, and providing information support for tourists; an exhibition of Vietnamese cinema past and present; and a spring reading activity – spreading knowledge...
