Early in the morning of September 2, the urban center of Thanh Hoa province woke up earlier than usual. On the streets lined with flying flags, long lines of people poured into Lam Son Square to watch the live broadcast of the 80th Anniversary Celebration, Parade, and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from the capital Hanoi . The majestic, bustling sounds broadcast on the loudspeaker system, cheers and encouragement mixed with the red color of the national flag created a joyful, emotional and very proud atmosphere.
After a solemn moment of singing the National Anthem with everyone watching the live broadcast, Mr. Vu Ngoc Thanh (68 years old) in Hac Thanh ward felt: "I have never been immersed in such a joyful, emotional, and proud atmosphere. 80 years since the founding of the country, this is the largest parade and march. I feel like the whole country is full of enthusiasm to develop."
In the crowd of people at Lam Son Square, veteran Dao Van Dung (68 years old), from Hac Thanh ward, occasionally wiped his eyes with his hand. Above the big screen were rows of soldiers marching, layers of equipment like crashing waves... The country was at peace , independent, the war was far away, but the memories and sounds of the war were still imprinted in the minds and hearts of veterans like Mr. Dung. In early 1979, following the general mobilization order, he went to the northern border, assigned to Battalion 77, Regiment 205, Information Command, directly participating in the battle. In the fire of war, he bravely volunteered, and had to watch his comrades fall to protect every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland. Therefore, he understands how precious the achievements that the country has today are. Mr. Dung confided: “Peace is so sacred, the country is so beautiful and powerful. It is very difficult to describe my feelings, I only know that I am very moved, excited, elated, and proud. I feel like I am reliving the heroic spirit of the days when I went to fight the enemy in the past.”
Contributing to the bright red color of Lam Son Square on the morning of September 2, the young couple Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 1990) - Nguyen Phuong Dung (born in 1994) in Ham Rong ward were present since 6am. Although they have a big house and plenty of TVs to watch, Mr. Tuan still woke up early to come here, because he wanted to join in the bustling, joyful atmosphere with everyone.
To prepare for National Day, Mr. Tuan cleaned and decorated the house, hung the national flag in front of the door many days in advance. Coming to Lam Son Square, he and his wife also wore uniforms with the map of the country printed on them and stuck the national flag on their cheeks. Here, he and his wife sang the national anthem, cheering with everyone when they saw the military units, vehicles, weapons, and equipment in the parade and marching part of the celebration. He shared: “I am very proud. Our country has had many brilliant achievements in 80 years. From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful to Uncle Ho and the previous generations who have devoted and sacrificed their blood and bones for the country to have peace, independence, and freedom.”
On National Day, in the center of the provincial capital, where the streets are decorated and splendidly decorated with flags and flowers, each person shows their pride in their own way. Many people have been present in the capital Hanoi for many days to watch the live ceremony, parade, and march of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day on September 2nd at Uncle Ho's mausoleum, to immerse themselves and enjoy the joyful atmosphere of the great festival. Whether at home or in the capital, the common point is that everyone carries the image of the national flag, holding it in their hands, or printing it on their cheeks, on their clothes... They also think that the national flag is the honor of a country. Only when the country is peaceful, independent, and free, can the flag fly freely. Therefore, more than the value of the photo frame, wearing the red flag with a yellow star uniform and taking a photo with the national flag is a beautiful expression of national pride, self-respect, love for peace, and freedom. And that is also the way for each person to educate their children about the tradition of patriotism, the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source"...
In the border area with majestic mountains, for the Mong people, the anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day on September 2 are also the true meaning of Tet. For many years now, regardless of distance or proximity, many people from remote villages, remote areas, and border areas have flocked to celebrate Independence Day at large and small markets in the area. Without worrying about buying and selling, profit or loss, they come simply to enjoy the atmosphere of the great festival. But that is a beauty, a pride that they are building and preserving together.
Dinh Cong Trang Street, Hac Thanh Ward, is bright with red flags with yellow stars on the morning of September 2.
This year, with more gifts from the Party and the State, the atmosphere of the Independence Day has become more complete and bustling. Around noon on September 1, after a long journey across rivers and mountains from Ta Com village, Mua A Chu (born in 1997) was able to take his wife and children to Xa Lao market on Chieng Nua bridge in the same commune. Entering the market, Chu chose a fairly spacious stall right at the gate for his wife and children to eat thang co. As for himself, even though he liked it and craved it, he did not drink alcohol, because he thought he had to drive his motorbike to bring his wife and children back to the village safely, so that the Independence Day could be fully enjoyed. Mua A Chu said: “This year, we had more fun celebrating Tet than every year because the Party and the State gave us gifts. My family received 600,000 VND. We are very happy and proud. My wife and I will not spend it all during Tet, but we still have some left to buy clothes for our children to go to school.”
Many people were as enthusiastic as Mua A Chu, so Lao Xa market on September 1st was so crowded that it seemed overloaded. The crowd stretched for kilometers, all the way to the other side of Chieng Nua bridge across the Ma River. In that space, Mong boys and girls took the opportunity to look for their partners. And who knows, in the market celebrating Independence Day, there will be Mong boys and girls who become husband and wife.
Secretary of the Trung Ly Commune Party Committee Ha Van Ca said: Since August 31, the commune has organized gift giving to the people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2. At the same time, it organized football and volleyball tournaments from August 29 to 31 to serve the entertainment needs of the people. In addition, the Commune Party Committee has led and directed the forces to organize traffic flow, ensure food hygiene and safety in crowded areas, such as the commune center, cultural house, Xa Lao market... to serve the needs of the people to celebrate Independence Day.
