DNVN - In 2024, Sam Son tourism continued to affirm its position as an attractive, friendly, and safe destination, welcoming nearly 9 million visitors and generating revenue of over 17 trillion VND, accounting for more than 50% of the province's total tourism revenue.

I've been fortunate enough to visit several beaches in Vietnam, such as Bai Chay, Cua Lo, and Nha Trang... Each beach has its own unique scenery and charm. Every place has its own beauty and uniqueness. But I must say, Sam Son beach is the most beautiful and attractive beach, drawing many tourists from all over to relax and swim.

Sam Son Beach is a gift from nature, stretching over 9 km from Hoi Gate in the north to Vung Tien Bay in the south. It boasts a wide, smooth, and relatively flat sandy beach with a gentle slope, calm waves, and clear blue water, making it ideal for relaxation and swimming.

In addition, this area also boasts many historical and cultural relics, famous temples and pagodas, and legends such as the Truong Le mountain scenic complex with its many unique legends and myths; the sacred Doc Cuoc temple, the romantic Trong Mai islet, Co Tien temple, To Hien Thanh temple, De Linh temple, Ba Trieu temple, Khai Minh pagoda, Khai Nam pagoda, Lach Hoi port, etc.

With such potential and advantages, in recent years, Sam Son City has actively invested in the comprehensive development of social infrastructure, with the goal of building a smart city, connecting with convenient and modern transportation networks to neighboring regions, and becoming a national key tourist destination.

With its remarkable development, Sam Son city is increasingly attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists for relaxation and beach activities. Therefore, in recent years, the tourism development rate of Sam Son city has increased rapidly, creating a breakthrough in tourism activities.

The tourism performance results for 2024 show that Sam Son welcomed nearly 9 million visitors, achieving 110% compared to the same period and 105% compared to the plan. It served over 17 million visitor-days, also achieving 110% compared to the same period and 105% compared to the plan.

The city organized various cultural, sports, and tourism programs and events, such as the inauguration of the Sam Son Beach Square and the Sam Son City Festival Landscape Axis; the 70th anniversary celebration of welcoming compatriots, cadres, soldiers, and students from the South who relocated to the North and the inauguration of the memorial area; the Cau Phuc Festival at Doc Cuoc Temple; the Banh Chung - Banh Giay Festival; the 2nd Traditional and Folk Art Festival; the Cau Ngu - Boi Trai Festival…

To further build upon the achievements of Sam Son tourism, effectively overcome existing shortcomings and limitations, and make a significant contribution to the province's tourism industry in successfully achieving the goal of welcoming 16 million tourists and generating 45,500 billion VND in tourism revenue in 2025, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, requested Sam Son to continue improving the effectiveness of its leadership, management, and state administration in the tourism sector, especially in price management and the operation of electric vehicle tourist transportation services.

The city needs to strengthen inspection, supervision, and monitoring to promptly correct, detect, and strictly handle violations, creating an equal, disciplined, and orderly business environment. At the same time, it needs to manage and utilize the Hubways more effectively, giving Sam Son beach a new look and building a civilized, modern, and safe tourism environment.

Sam Son today is transforming and evolving daily to realize its goal of becoming a modern coastal tourist city. With the decisive implementation of comprehensive measures to rectify and improve the efficiency of tourism service management, it is hoped that the government and people of Sam Son city will maintain this approach consistently and for the long term, so that Sam Son will forever remain an ideal destination for tourism, beach bathing, and relaxation, and soon become one of the key national tourism cities.
