According to Mr. Tri, this year's air conditioning market is diverse in terms of models and features. Energy-saving air conditioners with integrated air purification and dehumidification technologies, automatic temperature adjustment based on sleep patterns, and quiet operation are attracting a lot of consumer interest.

To stimulate consumer spending, Khai Tri Electronics is launching a "Beat the Heat" program with a trade-in offer, providing a VND 500,000 discount when customers exchange their old electric fans for new cooling units. In addition, air conditioners, water purifiers, and freezers are discounted by up to 68%, with free shipping, installation, and a 2-year warranty.

If consumers are undecided between an evaporative cooler and an air conditioner, Mr. Trong Lam, a salesperson atFPT Shop (Ward 8, Vinh Long City), advises that consumers should base their decision on their needs and the space that needs cooling.

If the space is small and requires a portable device, an evaporative cooler is a reasonable choice due to its low cost and low electricity consumption. However, if you need to cool a large space, an air conditioner would be the more suitable option.

When choosing air conditioning equipment, Mr. Nguyen The Hung (Ward 5, Vinh Long City) prioritizes energy-saving products with multiple features such as air purification, odor removal, and smartphone control so he can use them even when he's not at home. He also considers promotional programs and warranty policies when making purchases.

Besides cooling devices, the demand for beverage processing equipment such as water purifiers, juicers, and blenders also increases during the hot season.

These products help consumers prepare refreshing and nutritious drinks right at home. Currently, Nguyen Kim Shopping Center offers a wide variety of multi-functional blenders from brands such as Philips and Sunhouse, with power ranging from 200-600W, featuring high-quality plastic or glass blending jars, and a capacity of approximately 1.5 liters. Air conditioning maintenance and repair services are in high demand.

As the hot season approaches, not only does the demand for cooling equipment increase sharply, but related services such as cleaning, maintenance, and repair of air conditioners also become busier.

Mr. Tran Minh Phat, a technician at the Dien May Xanh branch in Ward 3 (Vinh Long City), said: “From the beginning of March until now, the demand for cleaning, gas refilling, and maintenance of air conditioners has increased by about 20-30% compared to previous months. Especially with appointments fully booked on weekends, the branch's technical team has to work in shifts continuously to meet customer demand.”

According to experts, regular air conditioner cleaning not only helps the device operate stably and cool more efficiently, but also contributes to saving energy and reducing the risk of damage to internal components due to accumulated dust. Therefore, consumers should clean their air conditioners regularly every 3-6 months, especially before and during peak hot seasons, and should choose a reputable service provider to ensure safety and long-term effectiveness.

With the surge in demand for installation, cleaning, and repair of refrigeration equipment, the refrigeration repair business enters its busiest season of the year. Nguyen Tan Tai, owner of Tan Tai Electrical Appliance Store (Thanh Duc commune, Long Ho district), shared: “From after Tet (Lunar New Year) until around April is the peak season for air conditioner maintenance and repair. Then, during the rainy season, it shifts to the season for washing machines and refrigerators. The refrigeration repair business has been around for over a decade, but it remains very popular.”

"If the workers are skilled and dedicated, their monthly income can be quite sufficient to live comfortably, or even have some extra money."

According to Mr. Tai, the price for cleaning an air conditioner at home ranges from 120,000 to 180,000 VND per cleaning, depending on the type of unit (wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, or industrial air conditioner), the level of dust and dirt, and the installation location.

The service package typically includes a general inspection of the unit, cleaning of the indoor and outdoor units, refrigerant check, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging if necessary. On average, each cleaning session takes about 1-2 hours.
