In recent days, Vietnamese youth have been eagerly anticipating and debating the upcoming concert in Hanoi by the popular South Korean girl group BlackPink, scheduled for the end of July.
Although it wasn't BlackPink's official arrival point in Vietnam, Da Nang International Airport jumped on the trend, decorating many areas of the airport with a pink and black color scheme, surprising passengers.
On July 9th, representatives from Da Nang International Airport announced that the pink and black decorations at Da Nang Airport are part of the "Pink Terminal" project, an investment by the terminal to celebrate Blackpink's visit to Vietnam.
The electronic welcome signs for passengers arriving at the airport, as well as some exterior design details, are painted and decorated in the trendy pink and black colors. Even the mascot, a duck holding a sign that says "Welcome to Vietnam," hasn't escaped this two-color trend.
Da Nang is currently a popular destination for South Korean tourists, and the trendy two-color decoration has delighted many.
On his journey from South Korea back to his hometown in Vietnam, Do Cong Thang (residing in Son Tra District, Da Nang City) was surprised to see Da Nang airport "transformed" to welcome the famous Korean boy band.
"Upon arriving at the airport, I was surprised by how the international terminal 'followed the trend'. Passengers, whether they are Blinks (fans of the K-pop group) or not, will surely be delighted by the hospitality of Da Nang," Cong Thang shared.
Moreover, many K-pop fans were also present at Da Nang airport to take photos and check in.
