Turtle Island, also known as Ear Island, is located in Vinh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province. It is a small island in Vinh Hy Bay, classified as a National Scenic Landscape Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in April 2022, according to the Ninh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports & Tourism's online portal.
Turtle Island in Vinh Hy is like a newly discovered rough gem, possessing a dreamy and pristine natural beauty. Visitors here will experience the atmosphere of both the mountains and the sea that this place offers.
It is a pristine and peaceful beach. It remains largely undeveloped for tourism , preserving its natural beauty. The beach stands out with its turquoise waters, long stretches of white sand, and tranquil scenery. The rugged yet impressive rocky mountains, blending with the blue of the sea, create a dreamy landscape.
Ninh Thuan, especially Turtle Beach and Hom Beach in Vinh Hy, is characterized by a tropical monsoon climate with year-round sunshine and strong winds. Although there are two distinct rainy and dry seasons, the rainy season here is brief, lasting only from September to November. This leaves behind a long period of golden sunshine and crystal-clear blue sea. The ideal climate, combined with the pristine and captivating natural beauty, has transformed this region.
Vinh Hy Turtle Beach is surrounded by mountains on three sides, creating a romantic and mysterious landscape. Perhaps that's why backpackers have given this place the nickname "Singing Ballerina Beach." It lies within the tourist arc that includes: Nui Chua National Park and Vinh Hy Bay.
Turtle Beach, in particular, boasts an incredibly magical underwater world. The coral reefs here are considered among the richest in Central Vietnam, and the aquatic life living on them is equally diverse.
