(kontumtv.vn) – To date, the province has more than 4,300 hectares of cold-climate coffee, of which more than 2,900 hectares are producing coffee, yielding over 4,670 tons with a productivity of nearly 16 quintals/hectare.
In Kon Tum province, cold-climate coffee is concentrated in three localities: Dak Glei, Tu Mo Rong, and Kon Plong. Dak Glei district leads the province in the area of cold-climate coffee currently in production with 1,200 hectares and a yield of 1,860 tons. Compared to the past, the productivity and output of cold-climate coffee in these three localities have increased, but not significantly, and do not yet reflect the potential and strengths of the soil and weather conditions for developing this crop. By 2025, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned a target of planting 1,000 hectares of new cold-climate coffee to the localities; striving to increase productivity to 18-20 quintals/hectare.
